Philippa Burrows
has been in ELT for 15 years, following a career as a secondary languages teacher and Curriculum Manager in the UK. Since living and working for several years in Italy, and working as a volunteer primary teacher in rural Tanzania and Sri Lanka, Philippa’s main interest has been in training teachers and trainers in low to middle-income countries; she loves the enthusiasm of the trainees and the huge impact and sustainability of the work. She has worked on a number of British Council / national teacher training projects in Malaysia, Jordan, Thailand, Tunisia and Kazakhstan, as well as teaching short specialist courses in Ethiopia, Rwanda, UAE and to Syrian Refugees.
