Mike Shreeve's
first teaching job was as a Mathematics and Economics teacher in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and then he taught for a time in secondary schools in the UK . More recently he has trained teachers in Italy, Bulgaria, France and Slovakia and other European countries and recently returned to Ethiopia as part of a TransformELT project targeted at 150 Ethiopian schools to develop teachers through coaching and supervision methods.
Mike has a passionate in interest in people and has worked in the professions as a training and consultancy director and then as a HR Director. During this time he was involved in many forms of personal and professional development including setting up and working in a management academy to enhance leadership and people skills in organisations as well as discovering effective ways to develop, teachers, managers and principals through psychometric and 360 feedback, coaching, reflection and goal setting.
He currently teaches “Coaching with NLP” as a teaching method for Pilgrims Teacher Training(for last 20 years) as well working as a coach with a practice focused on educators, entrepreneurs and professionals. He has been a school governor and has a good overview of what makes an effective school and is currently an advisor and developer of several European Language schools. Mike is , a qualified coach and Celta trained English teacher, a master practitioner of NLP and practitioner of New Code NLP , as well as a PGCE, FCIPD , and ACA. and about to undertake a qualification in a neuroscience based coaching .
He writes occasionally and is a speaker at conferences in between playing tennis and watching and occasionally participating in stand-up comedy. He lives in Brighton.
