Emma Heyderman
Emma Heyderman has been involved in ELT since 1989. Her first job in ELT was in Lacunza, a large International House School with its central offices in San Sebastian, Spain where she gained experience in teacher a range of ages, levels and focus (general, exams and business) Over the summers, she words for other quality schools such as the Bell School and also the University of the Arts in Westminster. Over the years, she progressed from Senior Teacher to Director of Studies to Director of Education. In all these roles, she was very much involved in course design and the supporting systems – materials, teachers guides and assessment. She also became interested in teacher training. She has since created an run workshops, sessions and events on a local, national and international level; face-to-face, online and hybrid (a mixture of face-to-face and online)
As an ELT writer she has authored coursebook materials for several series including Interface, Complete Preliminary, Compact Key and Get Involved. She is also a language school inspector for IHWO and Eaquals and is on the Accreditation Panel for the Eaquals Inspection Scheme.
In July 2021, she became a freelance ELT Professional so that she could dedicate her time to ELT writing, ELT training, and ELT Consultancy
