My Background

I am an ELT professional who is currently based in the United Arab Emirates. I have worked in several roles around the world including DoS for a Learning Centre in Borneo and In Country Manager for a Partnership between Cambridge University Press Education Reform and the UAE Ministry of Education. I have developed my expertise in Teacher PD over the years and recent projects include designing and delivering teacher training cycles for the UAE Ministry of Education, and delivering online training to teachers across the MENA region.  I also develop and write materials across the CEFR proficiency levels for various publishing houses as well as training new authors. I am a co-founder of Globe and am the Globe-Coordinator as well as the Lead Mentor for the Materials and Resources PLC.

Why Globe?

Why did you decide to become a Globe PLC mentor?

As a Co-Founder of Globe, I’m a firm believer in sharing knowledge and skills. I’ve been lucky enough to have had some wonderful mentors support me in my professional journey, and I would like to be able to do the same for others.

What can people expect from the Materials & Resources Development PLC?

Our PLC is all about being creative! It’s a space where you can come for support and advice in your own creative projects, discuss trending issues, propose, and lead collaborative activities and join current activities.

Why would you encourage people to join Globe?

As someone once said, two head are better than one! By becoming members of the Globe community, people will have the chance to develop, share and compare ideas with like-minded professionals working in ELT.
