Deborah Bullock
(MA TESOL) is an ELT professional with over 30 years’ experience in English language teaching and teacher development. Formerly, she worked with British Council in a range of contexts – teaching, training and managing teachers and YL programmes. She has also worked in the private sector and on academic programmes in FE and HE in the UK.
Since 2013, she has been working as a freelance ELT consultant, writer and editor specialising in primary and secondary English language teaching and teacher development. She has written content for a number of successful British Council training courses and projects, e.g. CiPELT, SEN, EQUIPT-ELT (Tanzania), Teaching for Success CPD, EfECT (Myanmar), English Connects: English for work (SSA), TMTE (Bangladesh), Teachers’ Clubs (Nepal) and STELIR (Rwanda). She has also authored content for TeachingEnglish and Teaching English Africa, Macmillan, Garnet and Pearson Education.
She is the current editor of IATEFL Conference Selections and has professional and research interests in both learner-centred approaches to assessment (author of the Macmillan Global Stage Assessment for Learning Handbook), and practitioner research and development (co-editor of the BC series of Champion Teacher Stories of Exploratory Action Research).
